Barber Chairs

From the old style barber chairs of the 1930's, to the barber chairs of the modern day beauty salons, picking your selection of chair can be one of the most important things you do when opening your own salon. Your chair should reflect your business and the style of professionalism that you are trying to achieve, letting the customer know you are new in town and ok to cut their hair.

But there are other things to think about before you go out and buy the barber chair of your dreams. You need to consider which area your business is in and how much you can freely spend. Barber chair prices can cost as much as $3,000 and as low as $150, depending on quality and style. Also, normally you will need more than one barber chair. If you are in a smaller area, say a town of 20,000 or less, the less costly chair might be something you want to consider, but if you’re in a larger more heavily populated area the most costly chair might be for you. As it will be easier for to make the money back then it would be in a smaller area.

The barber chair that you choose should have good functionality. Your chair should be able to recline at a 45-degree angle, have adjustable head, arm, and foot rests.

Now another thing to consider is durably, while the less costly chair maybe for you, you should remember that these chairs have to be with you for a long time, and hundred and people will be using them. Some days you may get up to 30 people in one barber chair. That’s a lot of abuse over a short period of time. While the leather one make look nice it is also costly to repair as for the tight cloth chairs or the chairs with special coating tend to last longer and easier to have repaired if they where to get torn.

In the end your selection of chair is up to you just remember to chose wisely but to chose something that reflects you.
